So I know it was all doom and gloom here on Tuesday and Wednesday but guys we haven't been on sitting on our hands. We've signed a VET OT which I love, we've signed guys 2 from within our division which is great. Thinks are shaping up pretty well going into the draft, I like so far how this offseason is going other then losing Lawson, would have been nice keeping him.

The #Bengals are releasing their long-time star defensive tackle Geno Atkins. Makes sense, with the big money spent on D in free agency. But end of an era in Cincy

Doesn't this release of Geno free up alot of cap space or was that Hart?

Both Atkins and Hart free up a decent amount of Cap space. Atkins freed up more than Hart though.

No more Andy Dalton.
No more A.J. Green.
No more Carlos Dunlap.
No more Geno Atkins.

Bittersweet. Truly a new era for the Bengals...

the roster churn is pretty much complete. at least those guys brought us our playoff wins and we ended up getting something for them when it was clear they weren't in the long term plans. er...nevermind

From Ian Rapoport
Source: Rather than releasing him, the #Bengals traded QB Ryan Finley to the #Texans.
I don't care what they got. I'd call that a good deal.

Former Steelers’ WR JuJu Smith-Schuster is returning to the Pittsburgh Steelers, per league source.

He actually took less money to go back to Pittsburgh after Baltimore tried to bring him in. Probably why Baltimore jumped into the Golladay game late. Kind of strange seeing as how they had all but announced he wasn't coming back to Pittsburgh.

That's okay, I hate that guy, Keep him on a team that is easy to hate.

From Ian Rapaport on the Finley trade
This trade is a late-round pick swap that allows the #Bengals to move up about 30 spots at the end of the draft.
Better than releasing. Probably won't amount to anything but I can't imagine we'd have gotten anything out of just releasing.
