I can admit when im wrong. time to eat some crow here. Apparenlty NFL's analytics team agreed with Taylor. This is why im not an NFL HC.orange_black wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:18 pmLook I'm as giddy as anyone right now.... But I stand by my original assessment.... We are winning despite Zac Taylor. I have serious questions about the end of the game calls. Going for it twice.... Maybe it's because I don't have the nutz to be an NFL head coach.... But man.... I think we had a little bit of luck there with the penalties.Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 7:22 pmAgree. All the pundits are still sucking Mac Jones. I just can't see how he gets OROY, but he's billicheks boy and they want him to be the next Brady soooo badMeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 7:18 pm
We should have the COY, Rookie of the Year, and come back player of the year!

Interesting article... essentially arguing that the analytics say the Chiefs should have conceded the TD immediately yesterday and gotten the ball back:

EdjSports, a data analytics company that works with NFL teams, has a model that suggests he should have.
At that very moment, according to EdjSports, had the Bengals scored to go up a touchdown, their win probability would have actually dropped by 2.5 percentage points.

during those 17 or so plays from the one yard line... i was pondering...
Bengals get a TD and up by 7.
leave 1:30 or so on the clock.
Chiefs drive the field and get a TD
go for 2
chiefs win.
i was preparing myself to be devastated

Yeah I didn't want the FG that early. Up 3 with a 1:20 to play Mahomes would have had Butker is FG range quickkkkkkkkkk. I wanted a TD but mannnn going for it on 4th and goal I thought my heart was going to vapor lock!orange_black wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:22 pmduring those 17 or so plays from the one yard line... i was pondering...

I kept wondering the same thing and I believe Romo even mentioned it.Aceking wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:14 pmInteresting article... essentially arguing that the analytics say the Chiefs should have conceded the TD immediately yesterday and gotten the ball back:

Yes, though to be fair, Romo threw out 50 contradictory takes in 2 minutes including mentioning that he thought we were getting stopped on purpose.
He's really smart sometimes, but can also spaz out.

Now you show up?? After all the run up to the game and then the Superbowl atmosphere yesterday, you choose now to drop in and casually comment?!? This is your creation man! You gotta be in the trenches with us. You gotta sweat and bleed with us. You gotta share some of the pain with us Ace.
You better be here for the playoffs or B1 will unleash a denial of service bot on this domain!
(That would also save us from watching Meat and B1 go at it. Can you make their own subforum ? )
