I mean we literally have drafted two edges with zero production. Didn't Murphy only have like 3 or 4 sacks in college as well?
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

Can someone let shemar know it’s not him we don’t like, it’s our lack of trust in the front office and coaching staff?

Well good thing it's a new coaching staff. I think a lot of people are looking over that, our old DL coach is still not coaching btw.skycruiser wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:18 amCan someone let shemar know it’s not him we don’t like, it’s our lack of trust in the front office and coaching staff?

So I am sitting after the pick talking with Duke Manyweather, Trey Smith, a few other players, and a few trainers and they are all telling me Stewart is elite. Of all the OLs in the program, they say he gave guys the most trouble (Membou really had a tough time with him). Trey was not happy to see him go to Cincy. I mentioned my concerns, comparing him to Murphy. First no one was concerned much with Murphy. On the other hand no one was looking forward to facing Stewart. Barring injury he should be starting at some point this season.

So from everything I've been piecing together with this pick it's starting to make a little sense to me. Personally I still do not like this pick and I do not like the reaction from fans about this pick. WIth that said here's is the logic I think the Bengals had going into this selection;Mag wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 10:25 amSo I am sitting after the pick talking with Duke Manyweather, Trey Smith, a few other players, and a few trainers and they are all telling me Stewart is elite. They will have Trey for another year, and they feel like Murphy who's better on the right side will back him up eventually replace him (Bengals history tells us this is true). Stewart is a 10/10 athletically and I believe they will play him where Sam Hubbard left. He's a more athletic version of Sam. Allowing Ossi and whoever else to back up him. Also with Stewarts versitility they can move him all over that defense on passing downs. I think that's what they were thinking.
Disclaimer, I donnot agree with this, but all the signs I've seen from videos I've watched and draft info I've read on Stewart it seems post pick points to this.
I pray that Al Golden knows what he's doing and this new DL coach and staff get the most out of these guys. Al Golden did give us Logan Wilson and the LB core's has never played as well since his absence.

You would think if gave OL so much trouble he would have more sacks.Mag wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 10:25 amSo I am sitting after the pick talking with Duke Manyweather, Trey Smith, a few other players, and a few trainers and they are all telling me Stewart is elite.
